- novelty / interestingness (are there stimulating things for you - for me would be restaurants and museums, for others could be access to skiing)
- raw beauty

for me point #4 is a big factor, but if all my friends and family lived somewhere that was kind of boring but affordable and cute, I’d probably live there tbh

Yeah it’s hard to imagine having a bad time if you lived in a nice (for your lifestyle) home, near friends and family 

Might get bored depending on the place but idk

these are solid

i think 3 and 4 are a function of how well optimized 1/2/3 are

the more proximity to friends+fam, the better your housing is, the more lifestyle fit you have, the more novel / interesting / beautiful the place you live becomes
