is there a straightforward way to plug the Basenames registry into viem to get the addresses of Basenames and vice versa?

that could make sense yeah, looking at this chart it seems like the client can use the L1 resolver?

but it's not working for me for some reason with viem out of the box

Base names are subnames of base.eth, so should be compliant with CCIP and should work with viem out the box ?
