I was in Amsterdam a long time ago playing chess with my wife. Half way through the game a man interrupted us and said, 'sorry, but you're in check sir.' Slightly embarrassed, we backed up a few moves. We got chatting to this man, turns out he was a grandmaster. Chess really is for nerds.
