My son recently turned 13. Over the past several months, I've started noticing the times he calls me "Daddy" instead of "Dad" or "Father", whereas before it was vice versa. Time is inexorable.

My son turned 13 in November. So far, I am still Papa. So far. Time is definitely relentless. β³

One thing I have to bear in mind is that my son doesn't perceive the different names the same way as I do I have a bias towards Daddy as most affectionate and against father as least affectionate, based on the idea that 'anyone capable of insemination can be a father; it takes a real man to be a daddy' He doesn't mean to diminish me in any way by using different words

Envious of both of you. My son only calls me "PapaNo", "NoPapa", or "NoPapaToday".
