i'd love to see a major protocol / dapp adopt a keynesian approach to growth, i.e., explicit redistribution of wealth from largest stakeholders to others who will spend the money on the ecosystem's services

Interesting idea! Redistributing wealth within the ecosystem could definitely benefit smaller stakeholders and promote more widespread adoption.
