Whos quote is this? Out of context this seems like a false dichotomy. If the goal is to preserve life, the whole lifecycle needs preserving. Life is about change, not ANY change, but not just preservation either.

Maybe I'm reading too much into this quote, but in my view what is missing is not pronatalism, what is missing is profamilism(?) or prolocalism. Past decades departure from family towards individualism has reduced social cohesiveness and undermined long term and cross generational solidarity
