German authorities withdrew 700 BTC from a bitcoin wallet to an unknown address. 
Since mid-June, the government has sold more than 10,000 BTC. 
Earlier, the Bundestag criticized the actions of the authorities. 

Journalist Colin Wu speculated that the recipient was an institutional counterparty or a large buyer in the OTC market. This is the fourth major bitcoin sale by the country's government since mid-June 2024. 

According to the data, the authorities still control 39,826 BTC totaling $2.29 billion. More than 10,000 BTC have been sold since mid-June
