Allowance system is changing again. Who in the community are the DEGEN team listening to? Almost everyone I’ve talked to really likes the new allowance system. 

It’s not a good look to continue changing things so rapidly. It gives me major “we’re trying to fix the current downtrend in price” vibes. 

Did we really even give the new @openrank allowance system enough time to cook before deciding to try something else?

This is quite disappointing to me.
I hope this new incentive mechanism complements what you developed with OpenRank regarding SCV. Degen has immense power, and this new formula is already improving social behavior across Farcaster in an incredible way, especially given it has only been in place for less than a month.
However, if staking becomes the primary metric, it might favor those with deep pockets over quality contributors, which would be contrary to our recent progress. I hope this isn't your intention.

This will allow rich people to buy the biggest allowances unless @openrank is still heavily factored in.

The recent dump has nothing to do with the new allowances. We haven’t even gotten an airdrop since the changes were made.

@meguce said something smart that they could make an upper limit to solve this but tbh, but this idea aligned with the recent dump makes an overall FUD and bearish move from the team which is not great at all
