Did you know!!???? Given the explosive success and sales of the Rubik's Cube, it was inevitable that competitions would emerge to see who could solve it the fastest. On June 5th, 1982, the first Rubik's Cube World Championship was held in Budapest. Participants were selected from various national-level competitions and flown in for this inaugural major event. Competitors from 19 countries took part in this groundbreaking competition. Unlike today's format where each competitor gets five solves, the original event used a best-of-three solves format to determine the winner. (Previous cubing cast quoted below)

They definitely don’t want to go up in a competition against you. You’ve got to be a cubing champion by now.

Definitely not!!! They are definitely serious Speedcubers! :) I am more of someone who enjoys learning more about puzzles, learning all different methods, organising tons of competitions etc. I participate in competitions only for the sake of participating. :) Never to win.
