❗️Topic of the Day ❗️ - What daily habits or routines do you believe contribute most to your success? - How do you stay consistent with them? - What small daily actions can you take to bring you closer to /success? This topic was suggested by both @0ffline and @nikomfer.eth. For me, routine is one of the most important parts of achievement. Consciously and deliberately building strong habits can help carry you through the times that you don’t feel like doing “it”. What about you?

A fancy version of “to-do” lists contributes significantly to my productivity. It’s one of the 7 Habits from Stephen Covey’s book. Years ago, I started with a grocery list of things to do. It wasn’t good enough. I prioritized them, but it still wasn’t good enough. Each item had sub-tasks so I needed more visibility. I tried many other versions including using Notes in Microsoft and other productivity apps. To date, I’m using something that an engineer from Toyota created called, KanBan. I use MS Excel and each tab at the bottom of the worksheet is a separate active project. Inside each tab is a list of prioritized sub-tasks that have due dates, ownership, notes, comments, etc. I used macros to filter the ones coming due and that becomes my to-do list for each day. Importantly, what goes into the KanBan must be specific and clear and not too “big”. If it’s too big, it needs to be broken into smaller pieces. Another thing I try to do is meditate so I’m more focused.

Dude this to do list sounds like a lot of work lol. But, hey, if it works for you—I guess that’s all that matters.

It is work to keep it updated…but I’ve learned it’s MUCH less work than the endless meetings that middle mgmt holds so we can get a status report on tasks A through G and strategic projects H through Q. I die a little during those meetings - they sap energy and prevent me from working and on top of it, they create more work to see how the work is going. 😫 Sooo inefficient. KanBan FTW 😎

😆 Feel the same way. My wife does to-do lists and schedules out each and every day..too much for me My OCD freaks out if I don't ACTUALLY do what I've time-slotted so I've just stopped that practice haha..
