When the Reddit crowd finds out that they can own channels on Farcaster and monetize them in a variety of ways, I think we’re going to see a lot of them showing up here.

I think so too. We are in the first inning of a double header. Wait till someone, possibly @airstack.eth unlocks advertising/channel monetization. Channel owners will be running on-chain businesses.

I already am running an onchain business with the /success /hypersub channel. Nearly 300 active monthly subscribers, currently over 1ETH/month in revenue with several related avenues opening up quickly. I know that's not a huge business yet, but it's only 3 months old too. But yeah, I do agree with your larger point. Once we have more easy to access channel monetization, possibly with advertising, things will be way different.

Amazing how you can spin up a business that generates $2-3k a month in 90 days on a small social media platform. Kudos to you!
