Tokens have done more harm than good to Farcaster

In what ways? I think without tokens, Farcaster would probably be 10x smaller right now. 

Like it or not, A LOT of people come to Farcaster for the tokens and end up staying because it's a kickass place. 

That's what happened with me. I came here for money. I stayed because the culture, community, and technology is awesome.

That's encouraging to hear! I would hope that there are more cases like that but I believe the amount of quality content on Farcaster has taken a dive because of airdrop culture. In general its a consequence of blockchain tokens as a whole and the network incorporating crypto tech

I can see that for sure.I will say, over the last 2 weeks, it does seem like the overall quality of content has improved. At least in my feed, but I am also in the process of updating who I follow and more actively managing it. 

I think this is probably part of the growing pains involved with a crypto focused social app though. The entire crypto community is driven by profit unfortunately. 

Thankfully, there are some good use cases popping up to demonstrate how crypto can be used outside of speculation. Stuff like /hypersub and /poidh are great examples.
