Heard it’s always better to cast in a channel. What has changed?

That advice is generally correct. Was just testing this on personal reasons and I have a large following that helps. 

To answer your question, they made some changes to channels and how content is displayed. The main tab works much different than the old “trending tab”.

Casting in channels is still best.
