Todays /success topic of the day: What’s one outdated practice or belief that you think needs to be challenged or discarded? I think we need to change the practice of saying “the customer is always right.” This can lead to toxic client relationships and to unreasonable expectations. It’s ok to say NO. What do you think?

Another outdated practice that should be rethought is the idea that “working longer means you’re more productive.” It often leads to burnout and doesn’t always mean better results. Focusing on doing quality work and having a healthy worklife balance is much more effective.

I most definitely agree with this one. I will be the first to tell you to take a lot of breaks and don’t kill yourself. Especially if you’re working for someone else!

The line is super real, if you are working for someone else and you put in all your effort at the end of the day, whatever profit you will be making still belong to the person you are working for and only a few of it will be yours.
