We ran /imgnโs agent stack on X, and shut it down after 3 months of paying for their pro tier. Absolute trainwreck of a service. $5k a month but the limits are per-minute. Big burst of activity? Tough cookies, space out your requests like youโre hitting a free API hosted on an aging VPS, or have all your requests fail. A lot of the API documentation on there now is outdated - broken links to old twitter urls, or dead endpoints. Development was a shitshow of trial and error. When finally live, and with Affiliate accounts (on Xโs $10k/yr plan), and said accounts marked as automated, they got constantly shadowbanned. The only way to lift the ban was to log in and solve a captcha. *a captcha for a $10k/yr plan on a $5k/mo API for an account marked as AUTOMATED* Sometimes theyโd demand email verification too - the email would never be sent, leaving bots offline for days until their mailserver finally starts responding again. Never again. $25k lesson learned. Weโre rebuilding it for farcaster.

Man, Iโm around long enough to have had to work on some real messy and archaic systems But what X has going on is just on a whole other level. To be brazen enough and ask for that level of cash and provide that kinda service in return, itโs truly wild
