It's becoming clear we need a higher bar for tipper eligibility. Too many tippers are bots or very low-quality users. I'm doing some research to determine the best way to address this, but requiring every tipper meet an OpenRank threshold is the likely the most straightforward solution. Feedback welcome.

Well we should give tips to people who have low Openrank (but that should grow), but if these people like the Farther project, they will not be able to tip, exactly cause they have low Openrank?

That's true, however the openrank stats for high quality users improve very quickly so I don't think it presents a problem. This is especially true for the openrank following ranking, which is what I'm planning to use for the tipper eligibility.
