The Little Wizard Luca and the Sleeping Dragon

Luca was the weakest wizard—
he couldn’t make fire or change the weather.
When everyone ran away, fearing the rumor
that the dragon had awakened,
Luca took his lantern and an old spellbook
and walked alone into the valley.

He was afraid,
but when he saw the pain in the dragon’s eyes,
his trembling hands reached out
and pulled out the thorn.

The dragon fell back into peaceful sleep,
and the villagers said:

“Courage isn’t the absence of fear,
but the will to move forward despite it.”
