According to informed sources and a regulatory document, venture capital firm KhoslaVentures has raised a $405 million Special Purpose Vehicle (SPV) to invest in OpenAI's $6.6 billion funding round. Insiders revealed that the SPV will be composed of funds provided by KhoslaVentures and external investors. Venture capitalists typically support startups, but they also gather funds through SPVs and participate in later financing rounds. Previously, KhoslaVentures participated in investment projects including: NEAR ecosystem blockchain infrastructure company CalimeroNetwork, Worldcoin, investment application Seashell, Chain (XCN), etc. @rdubois-crypto @drunky
