Hi, Iā€™m Manu, a multidisciplinary artist born and raised in Hamburg, šŸ‡©šŸ‡Ŗ now calling Austin, TX, my home. My visual expression is deeply influenced by nature and its many wonders, but I am equally captivated by the intricacies of the human condition and the mysteries of space. Art allows me to channel my personal perception of the world and positive emotions through a variety of mediums and has always served as therapy for depression and hardships in my life. Blending a fine art foundation with creative tech, my practice spans photography, physical drawings and collages, and digital creations crafted with cutting-edge tools. My art journey has been a full-circle adventure: from childhood dreams of being a full-time artist, to a professional career in interactive media, and now thriving in a hybrid creative space. ā†“ Early Beginnings ā†“

Growing up in a tiny 1 bedroom apartment there was no escaping the mental/physical abuse in my household. The only coping mechanism I discovered I had, was to create. I drew without thinking, just with my subconscious leading each stroke, and poured all the pain into my little purple diary with a padlock to help process what I couldn't understand. It seemed senseless to me and unjust. My mind let me escape into an imaginary shell. I would lead my soul deeper and deeper into its interior until there was no light. There it was where I found solace. This was my escape. Nature always provided relief and comfort. Something raw and protective. Something I was familiar with on a primitive level.

I too like many admire you as an artist, as a person and as a mother. Your journey has been incredibly difficult and hard and I am glad that you have been able to live it together with art and your work is incredibly deep and shows that very primal connection to nature and beauty
