I’d just rather use a language that I’m familiar with instead of learning a new one. Canvas feels completely different that JS. So it’s just the learning curve and lots of lines of code for a seemingly simple frame

ok. There’s quite a lot of literature for Canvas out there, because it’s been around for a while.

My hack was to avoid it and render plain HTML and render images inside it.
