If you're thinking of implementing Stripe's crypto onramp into your app, don't. You'll no longer be able to accept fiat. It's a 3 week process to get reapproved to accept fiat, and it's still not guaranteed.

Was using stripe for payments and I received a cancellation notice similar to this one.. my app only made it to testnet so I didn’t suffer

The whole thing is ridiculous. You create an account to accept fiat payments, turn on one feature, and that makes you a crypto company. And apparently also means you can’t accept fiat??? I’m very lost as to why.

It’s mainly due to anti-money laundering (AML).  But one would think stripe would actually take steps to fix this BEFORE launching.

Looks like they care more about the fanfare and talking point than actually solving problems that need to be solved.  How typical.

Yeah I was actually a crypto company… mine made more sense but we had not generated any revenue
