I’m just wondering what are those areas where ethereum can be captured?

Example: Sequencer, block builder, core development and others.

By understanding what can be attacked, we can know who could be the attackers and could prevent it.

the article goes more in depth, but the main point I make is that capital will engage in the commons stewardship. more likely than not its preferences (accumulation) will be expressed in the actions individuals and companies take. this may be damaging to the long term stability of the commons
