1/ People seem increasingly concerned about the term "daily active users" (DAU).

It's used by other web2 social networks (in SEC filings!) and now other decentralized social networks; we use Meta's definition (below).

Is there likely a better definition? Yes! 

Have we come up with a better methodology? Not yet.

I guess is because in decentralized networks the term 'user' can be misleading where individuals may have multiple accounts.

Maybe is better to call it DAA (Daily Active Accounts), this could provide a clearer understanding.

Additionally, the emergence of accounts who are leveraging AI models like ChatGPT, adds another layer of complexity to 'user'  engagement metrics.

In the future will be key to be able to differentiate between unique human accounts and AI driven ones.
