Had dinner at the Department of Culture this week. Chef cooked in a small open kitchen in front of us—told us stories about each dish, how they relate to his childhood back in northern Nigeria, and how he can’t possibly do justice to his mom/grandmothers cooking Goat + Tripe Pepper Soup Mackerel + Nigerian Yams
