Was talking to a founder friend yesterday who has looked into using FC as part of their gtm (they are a crypto infra co)

He said the team came to the conclusion that 80% of the folks they could target here, they can get by targeting CT, hence it would be mostly redundant spend with little ROI

I countered that it’s not the intersection that matters, but the difference. Meaning — the 20% of folks that are active here, but not active on Twitter, are the highest value cohort

Reason being — it’s a different culture. This culture values authenticity and showing up for each other more than the general crypto population. Smaller quantity but much higher quality

He grokked it but I could tell it would still be hard for him to get buy-in from the rest of his team. Sadly, I think this realization doesn’t scale well, but needs to be experienced or learned via wom from a trusted party

Not sure how best to communicate “the vibes” other than one person at a time

MicroStrategy has raised $1 billion to expand its #Bitcoin holdings

The proceeds will be directed towards redeeming $500 million in outstanding debt and acquiring more BTC.

The U.S. Federal Reserve has cut the interest rate by 50 basis points, lowering it to 4.75-5% annually. 

This marks the first rate reduction in 4.5 years, after keeping it at 5.25–5.5% since July 2023. 

The market's response has been mixed. Bitcoin initially spiked to $61,000 following the rate cut news, then dropped to $59,500, and is now trading above $62,000

I want Farcaster to succeed as I think it is truly important for humanity to have a "global town square" based on a neutral protocol rather than a platform owned by a single company, or worse, a single person. Still, I keep switching my default behavior to post on Twitter, simply because I get ~10x more resonance on Tweets.

I assume (at least in the crypto-Twitter world) I am not the only one in this situation. So maybe some form of vampire attack could work. Try to get at least 1,000 people from CT with >1,000 followers to commit x$ to post exclusively on Farcaster for 1 month. As soon as the 1,000 people are reached, the agreement kicks in and everyone should only post here. Those who break the agreement get "slashed," and the slashed money is distributed among those actually following through.
