The head of the Czech central bank, Ales Michl, called bitcoin a good tool for diversifying reserves and noted its growing popularity among large investors. According to him, BTC is becoming an alternative investment, and if the bank had invested 5% of its reserves in bitcoin back in 2014, the yield would have increased by 3.5 percentage points. Michal emphasized that the growth of the cryptocurrency is associated not only with the support of Donald Trump, but also with strengthening its status as an investment asset. If the idea is approved, the Czech Republic may become one of the first countries to add bitcoin to their foreign exchange reserves.
