Bridging in crypto allows assets to move between different blockchains. It works by locking tokens on the source chain and minting equivalent tokens on the destination chain. When bridging back, the minted tokens are burned, and the original tokens are unlocked. This ensures a 1:1 value transfer while maintaining security. Bridges can be custodial (centralized) or non-custodial (decentralized).
