French painter, sculptor and printmaker Georges Braque is one of the pioneers of modern art and one of the founders of the Cubism movement. Fauve's works in the Autumn Salon (1905) deeply influenced him. His influence of Fauvism can be seen in the landscapes he painted with patches of pure colors. Braque considers these landscapes as his first favorite works. He was ahead of Picasso in creating marble and wooden textures on the canvas.
