What’s the craziest experience you’ve had traveling? Here’s mine:

Dog eats chocolate raisin babka before honeymoon in Japan, she is hospitalized for 72 hours, but ultimately does not have renal failure. $3500 for pet hospital and $4500 for new tickets later, we arrive in Osaka a week late. 

When we informed the hotels and Airbnb‘s where we were planning on staying they were surprisingly empathetic and flexible. In spite the fact that we heard that the Japanese can be rigid around Reservations / Cancelations.

Insurance covered both - good to have a high limit card
