Schnitzel is a crispy, golden-brown delight that's simple to make at home. Traditionally made with veal (Wiener Schnitzel), you can also use pork or chicken. Ingredients: 4 thin cutlets (pounded to ¼-inch thick) Salt and pepper ½ cup flour 2 eggs (beaten) 1 cup fine breadcrumbs Vegetable oil or clarified butter (for frying) Lemon wedges (for serving) Instructions: 1. Prepare the Meat: Season cutlets with salt and pepper. 2. Breading: Dredge each in flour, dip in beaten eggs, then coat with breadcrumbs. Shake off excess. 3. Fry: Heat oil to 350°F (175°C). Fry schnitzels for 2-3 minutes per side until golden brown. Drain on paper towels. 4. Serve: Enjoy immediately with lemon wedges, potato salad, or fries.
