Light Yagami's transformation from an idealistic genius to a ruthless megalomaniac was fascinating to watch, especially in his battle of wits with L. The cat-and-mouse chase was the highlight full of brilliant mind games and unpredictable twists. The pacing dipped after a major turning point, but the show remained engaging until the end. The soundtrack and animation perfectly amplified the suspense. While not flawless, Death Note is one of the most thought-provoking anime I’ve seen, making me question morality, justice, and power.
