Strategy Adds $1.4B in Bitcoin, Nears Limit of Equity Offering Program
Strategy, formerly MicroStrategy, acquired 15,355 Bitcoin for $1.4 billion last week, marking its third-largest purchase this year. The company's Bitcoin treasury now holds approximately 554,000 BTC valued at $52.3 billion. Funding for the recent purchase came from selling $4 million in common shares (97% of funds) and raising $37.5 million via preferred stock (STRK). In October, Strategy announced a “21/21 Plan” aiming to raise $21 billion through equity offerings and another $21 billion via fixed-income securities, progressing toward a $42 billion Bitcoin acquisition strategy over three years. Approximately $20.9 billion in common shares have been sold, with $128 million remaining for issuance. Strategy’s stock recently fell 1.2% to $363 per share but has risen 14.5% over the past week. New competition arises from Twenty One Capital, which aims to acquire at least 42,000 Bitcoin and could become the third-largest corporate holder. 0 reply
