"Julius Robert Oppenheimer" ( 1904 - 1967) was an American theoretical physicist. He was the head of the Los Alamos Laboratory during World War II and is often called the "father of the atomic bomb" because of his role in the Manhattan Project, which led to the creation of the first nuclear weapons in World War II.
