writing a new blogpost about how blockchain scaling works because we're are consistently getting it wrong as an industry this includes both eth l2s, solana and other meme chains that crank up the system requirements to run nodes

sei & monad have made and are making parallel evm solutions that are gas efficient and highly scalable we’ll see where everyone ends up when the dust settles

the evm is not the bottleneck to scalability at all

i think current implementations of the evm create a form of bottleneck when everything you do requires you to heavily consider computational cost at a risk of making your product unaffordable or unusable where do you see the bottlenecks? looking forward to your blog post

state size. the reason gas golfing exists is because the L1 has the same market for execution and storage and gas is expensive on L1, not because the evm is fundamentally slow

going back to sei & monad with gas inexpensive L1 execution and storage markets and an environment with optimistic parallelization then you can see which direction as a whole resource intensive activities like meme coins may go it’s not the evm, you’re right, but the evm has become synonymous with slow & expensive
