i genuenly do not understand sound.xyz is for like ok, streaming services are predatory and pay artists peanuts, but is a new streaming service thats on-chain really going to fix that?

The problem with streaming today is that it’s 1 size fits all solution and artists have no control over the price of their music On sound 1) artists can set their own prices 2) get paid instantly 3) can help find new fans. Fans are actually visible when they support an artist vs anonymous on streaming

Even when I do enjoy collecting songs on Sound and supporting artists that way, I actually agree with you. It helps some artists, it is a niche thing, but I don't think it has the potential to go mainstream. Of course I will still collect and try to support artists that way.
