/todayilearned The Truth About Israel and 9/11 is Out - Have you heard the conspiracy theory that Israel was somehow involved in the 9/11 attacks? When you really look at the evidence, or lack thereof, it becomes clear this one just doesn't pass the smell test.

Some people point to that story about the "Dancing Israelis" who were filming the Towers as proof. But come on, folks were filming all over the place that day. The police investigated and couldn't find any ties to Israeli intelligence. Celebrating a tragedy is in really poor taste, but not evidence of being in on it.

Others bring up things like some Israelis working at a moving company. Okay, strange coincidence perhaps. But multiple investigations found nothing linking them to the attacks. Just because you're from Israel doesn't automatically make you a spy!

You'd think if the Israeli government was involved in such a massive operation, we'd have seen some shred of intelligence by now, some trace evidence. But all the major investigations, including the 9/11

Commission with access to top secret files, came up empty. If they couldn't find anything after exhaustive searches, what are the chances random internet sleuths have uncovered the "real truth"?

Al-Qaeda proudly took credit and we have tons of documentation of their plot. Piling speculation on speculation doesn't prove anything concrete about other parties being involved. An extraordinary conspiracy like this requires extraordinary evidence. And it just isn't there.
