I saw a lot of people struggling to publish their application on a VPS or that kind of stuff, choosing Vercel by default. So I made an article to help those people! EN: https://canyon-foe-c9a.notion.site/EN-Deploy-a-full-stack-application-on-a-server-d47b7b2ff01542c584ce9b45fe61d732 FR: https://canyon-foe-c9a.notion.site/FR-D-ployer-une-application-full-stack-sur-un-serveur-d8e87e3934bd4e24b1ea1d6a681bb9d1 If that help I'm happy to share !

One of the most underrated idea, is to use nestjs for anything other than rest api. The separation in different modules is freaking great. Using it currently for a crypto trading bot. Love that. Cleaner architecture!

One of the best advantages of SSR imho, is the fact you can just load pages without js if you want to. That way you reduce your footprint by unloading unnecessary content and if you do it right, you’re app would still work and interact with the user. With fucking speed. Especially in bad network conditions!

May I share this here too. It’s important to think to secure your app on all sides. Most of the time people just think “yeah that’s not a real problem.” Security is a problem of all times. Especially if there is a potential gain.

When you build a front app, do you understand that users can modify the code on the front? I mean, I find in multiple web3 projects that the front isn't secured. And you can modify the code to make the app do wtf you want. Take into consideration the inspector's "source" tab. (You can use it to reverse js)

In web3, I see most people using NextJS And I can’t understand why, especially when you can have simpler tools. Personally, I alway choose Remix. It’s simplicity and usage of standard make it a better tool imho. What is, for you, a good reason that push you to only use Next ? To not try any new better tool ?

Do you measure your application consumption? Do you embrace the rules of green code to make your applications more suitable for the environment? On my side, I'm trying to reduce the network consumption for faster loading, especially in low network environments.

This week end, I was absorbed by getting back old stories about the “Frères de la côte”. When I was younger I heard a lot about it. I don’t know if it’s because I grow in a place where pirates took an important part of our history (north of Britany, France) but I think it had a huge impact on my opinions lol

I love when I have a constructive discussion with peoples. Last week, I told my CTO we are basically implementing a blockchain. He was really on the no side. Explaining what I mean and what we are doing, while he explains his pov we really move forward. Gonna read clean architecture by uncle bob for preparing future

My wife is impressed. We got sick, but that doesn’t stop me from getting things done and push some code. I totally know I should take a rest but I can’t stop.

Did anybody used tailwind for frame development? I think I got a experiment with frame to do but I think there still miss some stuff to make frame’s DX better

Those times, I’m working on a way for funding charity. And I think I’m on the right track. I may be able to generate recurring revenue for charities soon.
