ITAP of a fire in the sky. This is red sky at night, sailor's delight or so they quipped some number of moons ago. Could be fire gets extinguished and we see the red sky as the flame goes out. Idk, but the saying is pretty spot on, the sea is getting buttery here, the best time of day to get a bite while the heavens bend the boundaries of the spectrum.
Red Sky in 'da mornin' however means they bite, cause they love the wind and will taunt you to the west, straight into it, to your death as the ocean builds windwaves in increasing gusts. They would not hold a ceremony, just charge west eating anchovies in a frenzy of perfectly symmetrical foamers of frothing Bluefin. Dawn Red Sky = crew of "were all goods" not "are we goods?" The blokes you depart into torrential downpour springtime squalls, on my hunch, and push thru to find a clearance of light rays reflecting the dream. 100 lb Bluefins on the surface iron, first on the coast that year, add one and steal home from Aunt Gale, screamin' as she gets into town 5 replies
