Words carry a strange energy! Take "companion and supporter" versus "partner" for example. A relationship called "companion and supporter" feels like a building with a strong foundation, while the other is like pitching a tent on a short camping trip! In the first, we’re constantly waiting for the wedding invitation, but in the latter, if we hear they broke up or moved on to someone else, it wouldn’t be all that surprising!
