Jack Bogle, the founder of Vanguard Group, is another successful investor. Most people know him with "low-cost investment funds". Bogle founded Vanguard Mutual Fund in 1975 and turned it into one of the largest and most prestigious financial sponsors in the world.

What Bogle did was to create a new structure in finance whereby shareholders of index mutual funds would own a portion of the funds in which they invested.
