I think the problem is that crypto in general favours mass speculation, which is what draws the new users, but this just leads to hype cycles and not long-term sustainability

If we're serious about building proper economies, there needs to be a way to favour value & authenticity, genuine effort, over rampant speculation. Leave that for the casino side of things.

But the brands and companies that bring in the liquidity, don't care about depth, they're interested in garnering additional attention for their brands, which favours the speculation side of things.

I think so tbh! But i recommend reading the full article so you can see more of what i'm getting at :) 

the changes in the last few weeks will leave a lasting impact in how we treat the monetization of attention imo
