Words matter if you’re growing a brand 🗣️ Many brands might not need a new logo, colours or fonts. They might just need a stronger name and tone of voice that people can connect with. Think about the verbal identity for your own business.. Is your brand name memorable? Are you using industry jargon? Are your core values just vague buzzwords? Are speaking in a way that your customer understands and values? The verbal side of branding is just as important the visual side!

About to choose a design studio for your first rebrand or campaign? This can be a tough decision, especially if you haven't had the chance to gain this experience in a previous role. Here's my basic advice for founders and business owners that will hopefully make your next design project a success. 1. Judge the book by the cover👀 Have they put time into their own identity and website, are their past projects strategic and distinctive? Have they won awards in design/branding/advertising? 2. Schedule a meeting 🗣️ Meet with the director, account manager or design team in person or virtually. This will give you a chance to explain your business and brand goals with the studio. It’s also a good time to get a feel for the type of people you’ll be partnering with. 3. Ask for official proposals/quotes📝 This is a great chance to see if each candidate is capable of taking on the project and ensures they’ve understood the major goals, problems and deliverables.
