Agree! Sometimes a ‘perfect’ logo, typeface or colour system fails to communicate a brand’s character or ‘onlyness’. I do think that some brands just need a functional logo first and foremost. Depending on the industry, They’ll need to be simple, work at small sizes, far distances etc. It’s ok for a logo to take a backseat to other forms of brand communication.

Building brand can help. A personal, business or product brand can’t be copied or bought. Every brand has to earn it’s reputation by constantly meeting and beating expectations. Once you, your organisation or your product has a strong brand you can use it to leverage the next product or service with favourable advantages. This is a biased opinion on the topic😅
