My dad. He was a tinker-er, always working on something, mechanical or electrical. He taught me the basics of machining, which led me to become professionally trained as a machinist. He taught me the basics of soldering, which led me to be self taught in electronics repair. And! Maybe most of all, He taught me to be creative. Not directly leading me to art/coding, but facilitated by enabling me with access to early personal computers.

He also led me to what's probably the hobby I'm most passionate about; speed. Going fast on/in just about anything with an engine. 

I think the greatest way he influenced me was by the way he treated others, always with kindness and understanding, but not being walked on/bull shitted. If someone was doing him or another wrong, he would be quick to call them out (maybe even to an extreme).
