To me it's convenience. If I use tap to pay, it seems to take longer; biometrics to open phone, then biometrics to approve payment vs tapping card

Maybe so! I think also for me it's out of habit.

i find pulling my card out of my wallet and putting it back in my purse to be a lot more inconvenient. my phone is always somehow much more accessible than my card. but maybe a woman thing since guys keep their wallets in their pockets?
