This is not what happened. At all. Dort was chasing pippen Jr down the court full steam, and Pippen dumped the ball back to Ja. Dort attempted to turn to contest, and Ja attempts to posterize Dort. And it goes the worst way possible. 

This could have gone a couple of ways successfully for Memphis.

Pippen Jr could have just taken the lay up. Dort isn't a shot blocker.

Ja could have side stepped and laid it in. 

This wasn't an undercut. Ja attempted to dunk over him at full steam.
