Imagine this in a different scenario. 

You are driving 65mph in a 65mph zone. You get pulled over and ticketed because the officer decided after you past the 65mph sign that the speed limit is 55mph. 

Changing rules after not only promoting and without any previous announcement concerning said rule is a terrible way to operate, and sets a precedent that this could happen at any time.

But we all know who did promoted this feature lol. People are blaming @mintclub and @project7 but they just made this feature for a bullish and great purpose and the ppl used it the wrong way now it’s not the mistake of the Owner of this tool it’s the mistake of the person who promoted this feature in the beginning of this season if you remember it was him 😅

The expected outcome is ppl using it to buy tokens they want or cash out to ETH

The idea was to use your tips to support degen ecosystem, mainly L3.  Instead people used it to buy tokens with their tips to instantly cash out.  Sure, originally there was a good use case.  Greed broke this.

I think the promotion and recommendation from reputable figures indicate the credibility of the feature and so far has been, until it became an offense to use. In my own opinion, I don't think the users, though may truly be farmers should be faulted for doing this. The floor was open and they jumped right on the chance

It was a pretty strange thing for them to promote - was pretty clear it would be abused. Retroactively punishing people for using it is pretty whack. Could understand a new rule that goes into effect for next season but I guess people who used mcdegen did already get value from this seasons tips
