It's interesting to me that the best programmers/technologists tend to get really absorbed in what elevated them, but tend to be dismissive of new approaches that get enabled as technology improves. I think we have now hit an inflection point where being an innovator has a much lower entry point for creative problem solvers, so as a builder if you don't keep adapting your tooling/stack you are already falling behind. Just two days ago Anthropic released the model context protocol, which is an example of something that will be a really big competitive advantage in the coming months for those who adopt tech that looks like this
