Is anyone doing wireframes anymore or I'm the only one 😅 ?

Rarely. With all the templates/plugins available it's almost too easy to jump into higher fidelity.

I def miss the days of concept sketching – esp when design patterns were more innovative/exploratory.

father, husband, css golfer, ux engineer, silently defining variables as /sdv sdv.wtf

I still find them helpful, especially for interaction design. 

I imagine they get shared less on social media due to lack of veneer and thus less engagement metrics.

Definitely still wireframing. It’s a “medium is the msg” thing. Low-fi wires communicate to colleagues “this is an idea, fragile n moldable”. Which leads to better thinking n ideas. Hi-fi ideas paralyse collaboration. No one wants to shit on an idea that looks finished, if it seems adequate enough.

it's just so fast to design in Figma, I end up going straight into the real design
