Yes, another Memento fan! I pick up something new I never noticed before every time I watch it. Surprised no one in this cast has mentioned Interstellar, I really enjoyed it until the end when they entered the black hole. Till then I felt like the film did a good job of handling the unknown in a believable way.

Ledger was scary good, for sure. During the scene with the two ferrys where they both had a trigger to blow the other one up I thought “wow that’s actually how a serial killer would think, isn’t it?”

Memento is Nolan’s best film IMO. Ledgers performance is easily the best in any Nolan film tho

Yes real people chatting with each other is strong early Twitter vibes. Almost no self promotion. Everyone either chatting, sharing what they are doing or what’s on their mind. Asking questions and listening. Love it.

This is so true. Facebook stopped being fun when I could no longer throw sheep at my friends.

And if you are starting from scratch, anything at all will be largely ignored at first because you have no audience, no one knows your content is available. Which can reinforce the idea that what you are writing isn’t ‘worthwhile’ because no one responded to it. Write to find your voice. It takes practice.

Almost no chance he starts tweeting regularly, he wants to promote Truth Social, not Twitter. He might come back just to tweet a jab or two, but my guess is he doesn’t come back at all.

Exactly. The ability to leave an online conversation without anyone noticing is a game-changer for introverts lol

What’s the optimal size of a community? What’s the criteria you look at and how do you determine that a community is ‘too big’?

Agree with this idea in general. If growth flows through recommendations from only the subset of the user base that’s engaging in the desired behavior, it increases the chance of attracting more users who will engage in similar behavior.

Joined FC yesterday so 50/50 right now, we’ll see what it looks like in a week. I love seeing actual conversations here and almost no self promotion. Any link sharing is used as a tool to start a conversation. The experience here reminds me of circa 2008/9 Twitter. Digging it!
