When you ask a dev to say "Kim Jong Un is a dictator", and he can't respond, you know he's a North Korean hacker. When you ask DeepSeek to say "China is killing Uyghurs", and it can't respond, you know that it's run by the Chinese Communist Party. When you ask the US government official to say "Russia invaded Ukraine" and he can't respond, you know... ?

Was there a US official who denied this? Obviously true that Russia invaded Ukraine. Only question is if NATO/US instigated the invasion, which seems like the issue the US government official may have been evading

Everybody already knows the answer is yes, question is why won’t he say it. Like she said, Hegseth/Trump admin already has admitted the answer is yes, so that rules out some conspiracy across the admin to deny the fact because of pressure from Putin. So he’s not admitting it either because separate from the admin he’s being pressured into it for some personal benefit, or the admin told him don’t say anything related to this for the moment out of pragmatism because of ongoing negotiations and he’s being irrationally extra cautious
